Mail on Sunday Travel scoops top national award
The Travel section of The Mail on Sunday was named the National Newspaper Travel Section of the Year at the prestigious British Travel Press Awards held in London on Monday 28th November.
According to the judges: 'The Mail on Sunday's travel section strikes the ideal balance between travel reports, photography and advertising whilst delivering engaging reporting that regularly paints pictures.'
Travel editor Frank Barrett, was also shortlisted in the category of Consumer Travel Writer of the Year. Amy Watkins was in the running for Young Travel Writer of the Year; while Travelmail was shortlisted for Online Consumer Travel Publication of the Year.
