Award of Excellence for Live magazine
The Mail on Sunday's Live magazine has been honoured at the 32nd annual Best of News Design Creative Competition. The supplement received the Award of Excellence in the photography project page or spread, for Marco di Lauro's The Flight Of Angels photo-reportage despatch from Afghanistan.
The Society issued 835 other design awards for journalism published in 2010. The winners came from 10,515 entries submitted by daily and non-daily newspapers and magazines in 38 countries. Coverage of the judging is at www.snd.org.
The competition is co-sponsored by SND and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University. It recognizes excellence in newspaper design, graphics and photography. Judges from around the globe met in two stages in February at Syracuse University in New York.
