Lifetime Achievement Award for the Mail's City Editor

The Daily Mail's Alex Brummer has received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2010 WorkWorld Media Awards.
The judges described him as a "profoundly talented and committed journalist whose 40-year career has spanned distinguished spells on both The Guardian and the Daily Mail. He's a prolific, highly visible journalist who is consistently on top of his stories and whose daily columns command universal respect."
Organised by the Work Foundation, the awards seek to recognise outstanding written and broadcast journalism covering any aspect of the world of work, the labour market and the economy, management and business.
The judging panel, headed by Will Hutton, included The Mail on Sunday's Jeff Prestridge, the BBC employment correspondent Martin Shankleman and Baroness Kingsmill.
